The Texas Conference for Women provides connection, motivation, networking, inspiration and skill building for thousands of Texas women each year. Since the first conference in 2000, this annual one-day event has grown to attract more than 7,500 attendees and impact thousands of lives. The 11th annual Texas Conference for Women will be held November 10, 2010 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Hosted by Governor Rick Perry and First Lady Anita Perry, the Texas Conference for Women is a non-profit, non-partisan event that features dozens of expert speakers leading workshops and seminars on the issues that matter most to women, including personal finance, business and entrepreneurship, health, work/life balance, and more. The Conference offers incredible opportunities for business networking, professional development and personal growth. The Texas Conference for Women scholarship program, now in its eighth year, awards six $5,000 scholarships to qualified female college students in Texas studying in the fields of, the arts, business, education, math and science, public service and nursing. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $240,000 in scholarship funds. The Texas Conference for Women is a 501(c)3 organization, Tax ID# 742947735. The Conference is produced by Public Strategies, Inc., a strategic communications firm whose clients include Fortune 100 companies, non-profit organizations, industry associations and professional firms.
