The Texas Conference for Women is hosted by Governor Rick Perry and First Lady Anita Perry. The annual Conference first opened its doors in 2000, and since then it has grown to attract more than 7,500 attendees and impact the lives of thousands of Texas women. Now in its ninth year, the Texas Conference for Women is a non-profit, non-partisan, one-day event that features more than 75 renowned speakers sharing inspirational stories and leading seminars on the issues that matter most to women, including health, personal finance, business and entrepreneurship, work/life balance, media, and more. The Conference offers incredible opportunities for business networking, professional development, and personal growth. After eight wonderful years in Austin, the Conference moves to Houston for the first time in 2008.

The Texas Conference for Women scholarship program, now in its sixth year, awards six $5,000 scholarships to qualifying women enrolled or accepted to institutions of higher education in Texas and studying in the fields of, the arts, business, education, math and science, public service, and nursing.
