Conference Hosts

The Texas Conference for Women is hosted by Governor Rick Perry and First Lady Anita Perry

Governor Rick Perry and First Lady Anita PerryWelcome!

We invite you to join us for the 10th Annual Texas Conference for Women, November 12, 2009 in Houston. This unique and powerful event offers the women of Texas the tools and opportunities to focus their talents, foster their skills and further their goals—both personal and professional. The theme of this year's Conference is "Rethink. Resolve. Renew.", and in today’s challenging economic climate, the resources, opportunities and support that the Conference offers are more important than ever.

In addition to the impressive keynote lineup, including a keynote address by financial guru Suze Orman, workshop leaders and panel speakers will share a vast range of experiences and expertise on the issues that matter most to women today, including finances, health, work-life balance, career advancement and leadership. New to the Conference this year is the ReWork Career Fair, which will feature local and national employers and recruiters as well as workshops on networking and career change.

The Conference continues its highly successful scholarship program. Six $5,000 scholarships will be awarded again this year to help Texas female college students advance their higher education in the fields of nursing, arts, business, education, math and science and public service.

We hope you will join us in celebrating 10 years of the Texas Conference for Women and its amazing impact on lives around the state. We look forward to seeing you in Houston.

Sincerely,

Gov. Rick Perry and First Lady Anita Perry
