Joan Luise Hill

Joan Luise Hill has been accused of doubling as the energizer bunny. Her recent radio, television and personal appearances surrounding her new book, “The Miracle Chase” have taken her across the country to address topics of writing, life changes and miracles.Hill spent over 25 years as a health care executive, where her career covered the gamut: working with terminally ill children and their families, revolutionizing the face of emergency services in the city of Boston, expanding Nevada’s largest medical group and licensing specialized health care plans across the country. Hill eventually turned her considerable experience to devoting herself to nonprofit initiatives supporting health care for women and children as well as to the advancement of educational opportunities for inner city youth in the Boston area. She is president of the Foundation for Osteoporosis Research and Education and on the board of trustees for the St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, MA. After her son’s near fatal cardiac emergency, Hill joined forces with Katie Mahon and Mary Beth Phillips to write “The Miracle Chase: Three Women, Three Miracles and a Ten Year Journey of Discovery and Friendship,” ultimately in an effort to understand and share the extraordinary events they each had experienced. Hill was a presidential scholar at Boston College and has a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut. www.themiraclechase.com
