Wilka Toppins

Wilka Varela Toppins is a business litigation attorney and executive who  offers more than 20 years of leadership in legal, corporate and business, as well as strong commitment community involvement. Toppins is a veteran lawyer with 20 years of legal experience in the United States and abroad. She has an impressive history in the founding of new companies across the United States, guiding her clients in all aspects of company development. Toppins, originally from Puerto Rico, is fluent in Spanish and English, and in turn has developed a close working relationship with Latin American entrepreneurs, investors and companies with vision to enter the U.S. market, either with a new business or an established company. Throughout her career Wilka has been recognized with several national and local awards, including being named one of the “25 Most Successful Lawyers in Houston“ by H Texas Magazine, “Top 10 American Entrepreneur“ by Ana Maria Arias Foundation, “10 Emerging Companies” award from the Minority Business Council Houston and also the Corporate Excellence Award presented by the League of United Latin American Citizens. Toppins is a graduate in Business Law, with honors from Tulane Law School in New Orleans and was awarded a BA with honors in political science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.
