2012 Conference Highlights

 

Speakers had a strong message for thousands of Texas women at the 13th annual Texas Conference for Women, October 24, 2012: “IMAGINE: Find Your Purpose, Make a Difference.” Keynote speakers included Charlotte Beers, renowned Ogilvy & Mather advertising executive, former Undersecretary of State and named as one of the most powerful women in the world??; Cathie Black, former president and chairman of Hearst Magazines, former president and publisher of USA Today and Forbes “50 Most Powerful Women in Business;” Brené Brown, research professor of social work and one of TED’s top 10 most downloaded speakers; Gretchen Rubin, #1 New York Times bestselling author of “The Happiness Project” and “Happier at Home.” Austin-based singer/songwriter Carrie Rodriguez also performed during the keynote luncheon.

Dozens of other speakers led program sessions throughout the day, all focused on celebrating the power within to help
women bring about positive changes in their lives, careers and communities.
