An Attendee’s Cheat Sheet for November 2nd

Did you miss our email about Conference Day Logistics? Catch up on everything you need to know to make your day a success here!

First, we just have to acknowledge…

Our amazing sponsors! Their contributions subsidize the cost of the Conference and allow us to keep ticket prices uniquely affordable. We could not put on this event without their support, and we encourage you to get to know the companies demonstrating their real commitment to women in the workplace.

Help in Planning Your Day

As you think about what you’d like to get out of the conference day, we encourage you to browse our online agenda as well as download our official app, brought to you by Cisco and available on all major platforms.

Shop the day’s offerings and save your favorite events to a private, personal schedule. Get realtime alerts and program updates. Take advantage of the Conference Community feature to connect with the community.

You may also want to watch or download our Newcomer’s Guide to the TX Conference for Women.

Don’t Forget Your Badge!

You must print and cut out your badge before you arrive at the Convention Center. To print your badge, log in to the registration and click “Print Badges.” If you are attending the Conference as a guest, ask your main registrant to email your badge to you. If you are the main registrant for a group of people, log in to registration to email badges to your attendees for printing.

What to Expect

The Conference is anchored by two powerful keynote sessions – one in the morning and one over lunch; three different hour-long breakout sessions and multiple small business and social media roundtables in the afternoon. But that’s not nearly all!

Enter the Exhibit Hall and you’ll find the Oracle Career Pavilion, the UnitedHealthcare Community Connection Pavilion, the Health & Wellness Pavilion & Classroom, the Technology Pavilion and the Women-Owned Business Marketplace. Within these pavilions you’ll find a wonderful variety of mini-sessions, volunteer opportunities, résumé and career experts, author book signings, and much more.

You’re also invited to a wine tasting networking reception sponsored by Bonterra Organic Vineyards from 4:00-5:00 pm in the Exhibit Hall.

Oracle Career Pavilion

The Oracle Career Pavilion is open all day, 7:00am – 5:00 pm, and is one of our most consistently popular offerings for a reason.

You’ll want to bring your current résumé for free professional critique, and organize your thoughts in advance for a free one-on-one coaching session with a coach from the International Coach Federation, Austin chapter. In addition, some of our sponsors will be on site recruiting. No advance sign-up is required.

UnitedHealthcare
Community Connection Pavilion

This year we’re supporting hurricane Harvey survivors with toiletry kits and a book drive, and welcoming two non-partisan groups focused on civic engagement:

Donation Opportunities

We invite you to get involved by bringing donations to the Conference and helping to assemble toiletry kits at the Community Connection Pavilion. Please bring travel-sized toiletries (shampoo, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, etc.) and new books appropriate for kids Pre-K through 12th grade. Get the details here.

Civic Engagement Opportunities

The TX Conference for Women believes in amplifying the voices of all women. That’s why we’re pleased to welcome two non-partisan groups that are working to give a voice to all Americans. Visit the League of Women Voters booth to learn the many ways you can get involved, from registering to vote to education to volunteering in your community. Then stop by the VoteRunLead booth to hear how they’re training women to run for office across the country and changing the face of leadership.

Health & Wellness Pavilion

Always a popular destination for attendees, the Health & Wellness Pavilion brings experts in wellbeing to the Exhibit Hall for mini-sessions and Q&As throughout the day, 8am – 5pm.

Be Prepared to Move!

Not only will you be doing lots of walking on Thursday, but you’re also invited to an incredible group workout led by celebrated athlete Marion Jones! Pack some comfortable clothes and report to Meeting Room 12 on the 4th floor to close out a great day with an unforgettable Camp Gladiator Workout from 4-5pm.

Technology Pavilion

The Technology Pavilion is the perfect spot to connect and recharge! Grab a cup of coffee, plug in your device, and chat with fellow attendees.

Do not miss Amanda Healy’s fabulous LinkedIn Makeover Workshops, offered from 11am – 4:45pm, or a one on one lesson in Broadcasting with Facebook Live with Kim Barnes. Just stop by and say hello anytime outside of keynote sessions!

Women-Owned Business Marketplace

We work hard each year to bring you a wonderful group of local and national businesses, all owned by women. Join the Conference in our commitment to supporting these women – today, and throughout the year!

Be sure to stop by the QVC Stage to watch live as entrepreneurs pitch their products to a panel of experts and buyers from QVC and receive instant feedback.

From 3:00 – 4:40 pm, join one of several Small Business Roundtables for an intimate unscripted talk led by an expert facilitator.
