Carla Piñeyro Sublett

CARLA PIÑEYRO SUBLETT has been in tech for 20 years. Her latest role was CMO of Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company, where she was responsible for all facets of marketing, including global strategy, brand, and demand generation. During her time at Rackspace, she built a strong team with deep functional expertise. Together they established the corporate strategy, pioneered a new visual identity, and doubled their brand awareness. Prior to Rackspace, Sublett spent the first fifteen years of her career at Dell, where she worked her way up from telesales to executive. During her time at Dell she touched every type of customer and led every type of sales role – from inside to outside sales. Notably Sublett played a significant role in transforming the inside sales function at the company, driving 40% productivity gains and 25% sales growth. In 2011, Sublett was inducted into the Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers by the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility. She was recently honored as a member of the 2016 class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. In 2017, she was heralded in Inc Magazine as a Woman To Watch. Sublett serves on the board of the Texas Conference for Women and The Austin Community Foundation, where she recently co-chaired the creation of ACF’s first Hispanic Fund, on track to reach over $1M. She was board president of the Thinkery during a $20M capital campaign, a successful rebranding, and a move to a larger facility in East Austin. She is also a co-founder of Adelante, the Hispanic Employee Resource Group at Dell, and a founder of Thrive, an organization that enables networking at work through exercise. Sublett is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied architecture and Latin American studies. Family is very important to Carla, and over the past year she set out to deepen her connections with her husband and children through world travel.
