Carla Piñeyro Sublett

CARLA PIÑEYRO SUBLETT is the former CMO of Rackspace, #1 managed cloud company, where she was responsible for all facets of marketing, including Global strategy, brand and demand gener- ation. During her time there, she built a strong, modern team with deep functional expertise. Together they helped establish the corporate strategy, identified a visual identity and doubled brand awareness. Sublett spent the first fifteen years of her career at Dell, where she worked her way up from a telesales position to executive. During her tenure she touched every customer type and led every type of sales role – from inside to outside sales. In 2011, Sublett was inducted into the Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers by the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility. She was recently honored as a member of the 2016 class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. In 2017, she was listed in Inc Magazine as a Women To Watch. Sublett serves on the board of the Austin Community Foundation and the Texas Conference for Women, and recently co-chaired the creation of ACF’s first Hispanic Fund, on track to reach over $1M. She was board president of the Thinkery during a capital campaign, a successful rebranding and move to a larger facility in East Austin. She is also a co-founder of Adelante, the Hispanic Employee Resource Group at Dell, and a founder of Thrive, an organization that enables networking at work through exercise. Sublett is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied architecture and Latin American studies.
