MICHELLE MILFORD MORSE is the vice president for Girls and Women Strategy at the United Nations Foundation. For nearly twenty years Morse has served organizations dedicated to promoting human health and protecting human rights, with a focus on issues affecting girls and women, including their health, education, citizenship, safety and economic agency. She has worked with Johnson & Johnson, UNICEF USA, Sesame Workshop, UBS Optimus Foundation, mothers2mothers, amfAR and ICRW. She worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on global health policy and advocacy, directed public affairs for the LIVESTRONG Foundation, and previously served as press secretary for U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett. A graduate of the University of Texas, Morse earned an MA of international affairs and an MPH at Columbia University, and pursued her graduate work at the Rakai Health Sciences Program in Kalisizo, Uganda. She lives in Austin, Texas, where she is chair of the board of the Ann Richards School Foundation.
