APRIL DOWNING is a seasoned financial and operational executive with over 20 years of experience and is the CFO of WP Engine, a fully-managed premium WordPress hosting provider with over 400 employees and 50,000 customers. Having raised over $220 million in capital and completing more than 20 acquisitions, Downing appreciates the complexity of managing technology and services companies at various stages. In addition to leading the finance side of the house for both publicly and privately held companies, she has a passion for people and has led the talent and culture teams for her various companies over the last decade. Understanding the importance of giving back, Downing currently serves as the chairman of Helping Hand Home for Children’s Foundation and is a member of National Charity League of Austin where she shares her love of volunteerism with her daughter. @aprildowning1
