LISA STONE is a board director, movement-builder and founder who creates scale movements with technology, story-telling and consumer aspiration. Stone was founding CEO of the number one social media publisher for women BlogHer Inc., which she grew to 100+M unique visitors monthly and $30M in revenues. She then led a successful M&A with SheKnows Media, creating #1 women’s lifestyle digital media company. As CEO, she built a scalable technology platform, products and curriculum for Fortune 1,000 marketers and 20,000 social influencers to create multimedia content, conversation, curriculum and e-commerce. Previously, Stone pioneered the first blog publishing network at American Lawyer Media’s leading industry vertical, Law.com. She was vice president of programming and editor in chief at Women.com Networks, where she led original programming and partnerships (Bloomberg, Gallup, E! Online, HBO’s Sex and the City), and helped launch 11 Hearst and two Rodale magazine sites. Her honors include a Fortune Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur Award, Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business and an Ernst & Young Winning Women award. She was the first Internet journalist awarded a Nieman Fellowship by Harvard University.
