Marian Cabanillas

MARIAN CABANILLAS serves as the president for South Texas of UnitedHealthcare’s Texas Health Plan. In this role she works closely with customers, providers, community based organizations, faith based organizations and community leaders to address the issues of healthcare in the communities she serves. Her professional experience includes more than twenty years working within the healthcare industry in both the public and private sectors, with an emphasis on public health care. Cabanillas’ areas of focus are marketing, community outreach, member services, and provider and employee engagement. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, she served as the director of community relations for MHMRA of Harris County. Cabanillas is also a faculty member with the University of Phoenix where she teaches Healthcare Administration courses to MBA students. She serves on the board of directors of Change Happens! and on the president’s advisory board of the Special Olympics of Texas. She has been fostering, rescuing and rehoming dogs for more than fifteen years. Cabanillas earned a BA in psychology at the University of Houston and an MBA in healthcare administration at the University of Phoenix. She also completed the executive development program at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. @uhc
