Sara K. Tays, southwest public affairs manager for Exxon Mobil Corporation, is responsible for state legislation and other public policy issues in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. Tays handles all corporate legislative issues impacting ExxonMobil and also supports the company’s public and community relation efforts and oversees the company’s retained advocates and trade associations in these states. Tays is the 2011-2012 chair of the Texas Legislative Conference and also serves on the boards of the Texas Association of Business, Texas Association of Manufacturers, Texas Oil and Gas Association, Austin Symphony Orchestra and on the Business Advisory Boards of Women in Government and The Energy Council. For the past four years, Tays has served as the Governor’s appointed State Fuels Coordinator where she leads an industry and trade association team in responding to disasters. A highlight of Tays’ career to date was winning the Corporate Leadership Award from the U. S. Minerals Management Service during the Clinton administration. Tays graduated from Texas A&M University.
