SONYA HILL BISHOP is deputy general counsel litigation, labor & employment and intellectual property for Phillips 66. Bishop currently serves on the boards of the Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts (MECA), the Art League of Houston, and the Leadership Circle of United Way of Greater Houston. She is also a past Houston Bar Foundation board member and past chair of Texas State Bar’s Texas Minority Counsel Program. She is a member of various professional organizations, including the American Bar Association and the American Corporate Counsel Association. She is a graduate of United Way’s Project Blueprint and Center for Houston’s Future leadership class. Bishop holds a BA in managerial studies, political science, and policy studies from Rice University and a JD with honors from The University of Texas School of Law. She is a member of the Fall 2024 Cohort of the Bauer School of Business’s Executive DBA Program.
