2013 Conference Highlights

The 14th Annual Texas Conference for Women drew more than 5,000 attendees on November 19, 2013. Keynote speakers were celebrity chef, author and business woman Rachael Ray; Nobel Peace Prize recipient Leymah Gbowee; Jenny Lawson, founder of the popular blog, The Bloggess, and author of the New York Times bestseller Let’s Pretend This Never Happened; Sallie Krawcheck, one of the most respected voices on Wall Street; Vernā Myers, diversity expert and author; and Bob Beaudine, CEO of Eastman Beaudine and author, The Power of Who.

Themed “The Power of Possibilities: Define Your Own Success,” the Conference also featured dozens of workshop and breakout session speakers for a day of inspiration, reinvention and networking. Topics included leadership, career advancement, money management, health and wellness, small business and entrepreneurship, social media, branding and more. The nonpartisan, nonprofit conference is Texas’s largest personal and professional development event for women.

Dozens of other speakers led program sessions throughout the day, all focused on celebrating the power within to help women bring about positive changes in their lives, careers and communities.
