Notice of Book Publication and Speaker Authorization
On October 24, 2019, the Texas Conference for Women will mark its 20th anniversary and celebrate this milestone with publication of a book featuring highlights from the top 100 keynote speakers over the past two decades.
You were one of those top speakers, and we are writing to inform you that we may be including one or more quotes from your speech in this special collection. The book, which will be published by Greenleaf Book Group, LLC, will be distributed as a gift to 2019 conference attendees and made available for sale to those unable to attend.
As a nonprofit, the Texas Conference for Women does not seek to benefit financially from this effort. In fact, we will donate 100 percent of any proceeds to scholarships for girls through Scholarmatch, an organization dedicated to making college possible for first-generation and low-income youth.
We hope you are excited as we are by this news. At this important time for women in America, we are happy to share your timely inspiration and timeless wisdom to help advance women in the workplace and beyond.
All speakers quoted in the final version of the book will be publicly thanked at the 2019 Conference and through the Conference website and other communication vehicles. We will also send you a complimentary copy of the book. Your name and brief bio will also be included. Select conference photos may also appear.

On October 24, 2019, the Texas Conference for Women [a Texas nonprofit] (“Texas CFW”) will mark its 20th anniversary and celebrate this milestone with publication of a book featuring highlights from the top 100 keynote speakers over the past two decades (“Book”). This Release Form (“Release”) will serve as the agreement between Texas CFW and you that:
• Texas CFW and its publisher (currently Greenleaf Book Group, LLC) have the right to reprint quotes and/or brief excerpts (collectively, the “Excerpts”) from your keynote in this Book. They also have the right to include “Supporting Information,” such as your name, biographical data, and possibly photos. By executing this Release, you give Texas CFW and Greenleaf Book Group, LLC, the unrestricted right to copy, reproduce, edit, and translate the Excerpts and Supporting Information in the Book, and in the marketing and distribution of the Book.
• The Book will be distributed to attendees of the 2019 Texas CFW Conference (“Conference”), promoted on its websites, social media channels, emails, and offered for sale.
One hundred percent of all proceeds will go to scholarships for girls through Scholarmatch, an organization dedicated to making college possible for first-generation and low-income youth.
• The Texas CFW will own the copyright in the Book as compiled, and you waive the right to inspect or approve use of the Excerpts, Supporting Information or related advertising and promotion.
• All speakers quoted in the final version of the book will be publicly thanked at the 2019 Conference and through the Conference website and other communication vehicles. Texas CFW will also send you a complimentary copy of the book. You agree that you will not receive any other payment or compensation from Texas CFW or Greenleaf Book Group, LLC, for the uses of the Excerpts and Supporting Information described in this Release.
This Release contains the entire understanding between you and Texas CFW regarding use of the Excerpts and Supporting Information in connection with this Book. By signing it, you indicate that you have read and understood this Release and that it expresses the complete understanding between Texas CFW and you with respect to the Book.
