Julie Pippert is the founder and director for Artful Media Group, Inc., a Houston-based communications strategy company that specializes in creative business communication and social media outreach. She focuses on communication development and strategy, especially for parenting, political, nonprofit and advocacy groups. Her projects have included award-winning work for the American Red Cross Emergency Social Data Summit, cybersecurity and biotechnology social media management, program management for Blue Star Museums, digital marketing for parenting and baby products, political consulting, and advisory board for American Cancer Society.

Gina Carroll (@MaDonnaNegra)

Gina Carroll began writing, blogging and speaking after leaving a large corporate law practice to became a stay at home mom, raising her 5 children. She is now nationally recognized for her coverage of the parenting and family landscape, including; relationships, digital fluency, parenting adolescents and getting into college. She is the author of “24 Things You Can Do with Social Media to Help Get into College” and co-founder of Inspired Wordsmith, a writing, educational and authorship services company. She is a passionate spokesperson and blogger for MomsCleanAirForce.org and the blogging board member for Communities in Schools of Houston. On her sites, Tortured By Teenagers, ThinkActParent.com and ThinkActEat.com, Gina also advocates for literacy, drop-out prevention and the importance of the family meal. She is a graduate of Stanford University and U.C.L.A. Law School.

Tanya Tarr (@nerdette)

Tanya Tarr is the director of Legislative and Political Mobilization for the Texas American Federation of Teachers, which represents over 65,000 public school educators across Texas. She is a winning veteran of local, state and federal political and non-partisan campaigns. She has been  named a Rising Star of 2009 by Campaigns and Elections’ Politics Magazine and a member of Next Generation Leaders under 40 by the Texas Observer and the Texas Democracy Foundation, a group of emerging leaders committed to supporting investigative reporting in Texas. Tanya is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and the H. John Heinz III Graduate School of Public Policy and Management. In her spare time, she enjoys raising native Texan wildflowers and her rambunctious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
