CAROLYN RICHARDS-CHACON is vice president, BL secure connected edge operations engineering at NXP Semiconductors She leads a global team of product and test engineers whose responsibilities include new product introduction, gross margin improvement, and supply assurance for MCUs and application processors in the auto and Ind/IOT edge processing product lines. Richards-Chacon joined the company (Motorola) in 1994, starting out on the Engineering Rotation Program. She has held various product/test engineering and management positions in multiple businesses in the company including analog, digital networking, wireless baseband, and fast static RAMs. She joined the MICR business line in 2014 as the i.MX product and test engineering manager and has been in her current role since 2016. Richards-Chacon holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
