Gretchen Rubin
Gretchen Rubin is the author of “Happier at Home,” an account of her adventures when, starting in September (the new January), she dedicated a school year to making her home a place of greater simplicity, comfort and love; she drew on the wisdom of the ages, the current scientific studies and the lessons from popular culture to make home a happier place. Rubin’s previous book, “The Happiness Project,” was a blockbuster #1 New York Times and international bestseller. On her popular blog, “The Happiness Project,” she reports on her daily adventures in the pursuit of happiness. “The Happiness Project“ is more than a book and a blog, it’s a movement. Happiness Project groups have sprung up around the world; hundreds of book groups have discussed the book and rights for more than 30 foreign editions have been sold. “The Happiness Project” was even an answer on the game-show “Jeopardy!” Rubin started her career in law and was a clerk for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor when she realized she really wanted to be a writer. She is a graduate of Yale and Yale Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal. www.happiness-project.com
