Terri Gruca
TERRI GRUCA is an anchor and investigative reporter at KVUE in Austin, TX. You’ll see her at 5:00 p.m., and occasionally on Midday at 11:00 a.m. anchoring beside the best team in town. That’s also where you’ll see her consumer, investigative and inspirational breast cancer stories she does with the help of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Austin chapter. Gruca has covered hurricanes, the first ever joint training exercise between Russian and US troops, and the Minneapolis bridge collapse. She even got to interview President Barack Obama. She is proud of the work she has done at KVUE, and is also grateful for all the women and families who’ve shared their stories about breast cancer with her over the years. She has been honored with an Edward R. Murrow, four individual Emmys and one for KVUE newscasts. Gruca’s stories have also received numerous Associated Press, Northwest Broadcast News Association, Minnesota Broadcasters Association and Society of Professional Journalists awards. Her investigation on daycares also earned her a trip to the Montel Williams Show. She has worked at some terrific stations including WRAL in Raleigh, NC, WBIR in Knoxville, TN, WSPA in Spartanburg, SC and WCCO in Minneapolis. She enjoys volunteering for various organizations.
