Velincia Jones

VELINCIA JONES is a director of technology business operations, leading a team of business analysts who establish multi-year financial efficiency programs in support of a $1.2B annual budget.  In addition, she has developed a Tech Vendor Engagement program designed to build relationships with multiple levels of leadership, driving Tech-focused conversations and regular touchpoints.  Jones operates under the tenant that fostering collaboration with cross-organizational teams provides exposure to other areas of the business, allowing expansion of scope and engagement across the organization. Her motivation stems from relationship building, negotiations, and leading teams to overcome business challenges to positively affect stakeholders. Mentorships have afforded Jones the opportunity to engage, support, and help develop young professionals to navigate the corporate environment and build their brand. Prior to joining Visa, she spend twelve years in procurement and supply chain, working in various roles for Applied Materials and Dell Technologies.  She has worked on developing procurement strategies, cost models, supplier roadmaps for Technology products, and managing materials spend across top tier vendors. Jones earned a dual BS from Brigham Young University in communications studies and sociology, and an MBA from St. Edward’s University in Austin. @visa
