Yasmine Winkler


YASMINE WINKLER is the chief executive officer of UnitedHealthcare community and state’s central region. She also serves as the community and state division’s chief consumer officer, where UnitedHealthcare is exploring an innovative, inclusive delivery model for social services including housing, education, transportation, nutrition and health care. Before assuming these roles in February 2015, Winkler was the chief marketing, product and innovation officer for UnitedHealthcare’s employer and individual division. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Winkler held various positions with BlueCross/BlueShield of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma (HCSC) as well as Chicago HMO. She has served on the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) team that developed consumer-driven health standards and on the Illinois Governor’s Council on Accreditation. She is an alumna of Leadership Greater Chicago, has served on the NHHF board of directors and is currently a member of Women in the Boardroom, National Hispanic Latina Institute (NHLI), PDMA and the Alumni Society advisory board. Winkler earned a B.A. in English and environmental studies from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
